The mighty Himalayas often face natural calamities like earthquakes, landslides, flash floods, glacial and snow avalanches frequently. These natural calamities cannot be predicted or prevented completely. However, a state of preparedness and quick response can considerably mitigate loss of life and property and restore normalcy.
